Dr Shonak Parbhoo

Dr Shonak Parbhoo grew up in Middelburg, Mpumalanga, from where he frequented the Kruger National Park numerous times per year with his family as a young child. This formed a love and appreciation for animals and by the end of high school, he had decided to become a vet. Since graduating in 2018, he moved from Johannesburg to Durban and he joined Durban North Vet in 2022. The gentle, calm and caring. Dr Shonak’s hobbies include hiking with his German Shepherd, Shadow, (still) frequenting the Kruger National Park, and playing the tabla.

With 24 years of experience, she says she still wakes up every day grateful to have achieved her lifelong dream and honoured by the trust placed in her, not only by her patients but also by the people who love them.
